The Carlisle County Comets waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with an 82-70 win over Trigg County. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Kenton Arnold, who scored 19 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Burnett, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Carlisle County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Trigg County, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlisle County and McCracken County will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. McCracken County will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Trigg County on the road again on Tuesday and play against Stewart County at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
