Given Coastal Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while Hobbton is ranked 635th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Aidan Davies, who scored 31 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Coastal Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Holden Martin, who scored ten points.
Coastal Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Hobbton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Coastal Christian and Wayne Country Day will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wayne Country Day will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. Hobbton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
