Peak to Peak and D'Evelyn squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Peak to Peak had to settle for second. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the D'Evelyn Jaguars. The Pumas' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Peak to Peak lost, don't look at Alexandra Eschmeyer. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 29 points and 15 boards. That was a full 70.7% of Peak to Peak's points, marking the 24th time in a row Eschmeyer has posted more than a third of the team's points. Sydney Lewis was another key player, putting up two points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Leading D'Evelyn to victory were Colleen Monahan and Ellie McMann. Monahan dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards, while McMann had 19 points and five rebounds. McMann is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Giada Lampert, who earned five points.

Peak to Peak's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for D'Evelyn, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

Peak to Peak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for D'Evelyn, they will head out to face off against University at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. University will roll in looking for their 26th straight win, something D'Evelyn surely won't give up without a fight.
