The Wolfpack were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Lions. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

KIPP San Jose Collegiate got a massive performance out of Taide Garcia, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Garcia a new career-high. Amaris Vallez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
KIPP San Jose Collegiate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Design Tech posted their closest win since March 18, 2025 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over El Camino.
Adelaide Chuang made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kendall Hom was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Sarah Todd, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Design Tech's record is now 7-3. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. KIPP San Jose Collegiate has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .534. However, it's not like Design Tech struggles in that department as they've averaged .582. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
KIPP San Jose Collegiate might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Design Tech in their previous meeting on April 1st. Can the Wolfpack avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
