The Mardela Warriors had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Wicomico 70-10 on Thursday. Mardela has not had much luck with Wicomico recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Se'Lah Foreman had a dynamite game for Wicomico, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Foreman has scored at least 25% of Wicomico's points. Carlisa Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 5 rebounds.
Mardela's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wicomico, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Parkside the next time they take the court. Wicomico will host Parkside at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Mardela will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
