After losing to Westview the last time they met, the Benson Bunnies decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Benson walked away with a 57-48 victory over Westview on Friday.
Benson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ahmani Klabunde, who scored 32 points along with 5 assists. Klabunde is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Lewis, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 blocks.
Benson now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Westview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benson will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Millard North. As for Westview, they will square off against Omaha North at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
