Midd-West is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Loyalsock Township. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won five in a row.
Colton Aumiller was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Aumiller was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Braxton Smith was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Max Trawitz was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Mount Carmel hit Warrior Run with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the RED TORNADOES, falling 11-4.
Warrior Run saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Griffen Harrington, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another was Landon Tillson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
