The Castlewood Blue Devils will head out to challenge the Twin Springs Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Castlewood not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16, 2024. They never let Thomas Walker get on the board and left with a 20-0 win. The Blue Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Anna Summers made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on J Phillips, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those RBI were her first of the season.
Castlewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .793. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Twin Springs hadn't done well against Rye Cove recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Titans came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-0.
Like Castlewood, Twin Springs also got a great game from a two-way player: Makenzie Gillenwater. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Gillenwater was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Aubrey Meade was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Jayde Tomlinson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Twin Springs' record now sits at 4-2-1. As for Castlewood, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
