Basketball Recap: Trinity Bryant Key Part of a Team Effort in Red Devils Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tabiona, Grand County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They secured a 54-49 W over the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs. The Red Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Grand County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trinity Bryant out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Bryant's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Byrd, who posted 12 points in addition to eight boards and six steals.

When it comes to explaining why Gunnison Valley lost, don't look at Autumn Anderson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Anderson has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Linsi Hansen, who had six points in addition to six boards and four blocks.

Grand County now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Gunnison Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Grand County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 44-33 victory against North Sevier on the 4th. As for Gunnison Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-31 win against San Juan on the 4th.
