Two weeks ago, Bethany Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 32-27 to Granger Christian.

Despite their defeat, Bethany Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kendra Kern, who went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points and eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance gave Kern a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Mast, who posted four points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lakewood Park Christian beat Woodlan 51-41 on Tuesday.

Bethany Christian better keep an eye on Ava McGrade. She was instrumental in Lakewood Park Christian's win, going 10 of 16 on her way to 26 points along with eight boards and three steals. McGrade is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracelyn Martin, who put up four points and six rebounds.

Lakewood Park Christian pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Bethany Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
