With a playoff win on the line, Whitko rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Bluffton Tigers by a score of 68-60. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maryn Schreiber, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Schreiber has posted since back in January of 2024. Konley Ault was another key player, going 7 for 16 en route to 19 points and seven boards.
Whitko's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Bluffton, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-3.
Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats duke it out with the Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Whitko's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. Bluffton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
