Park School has gone 9-1 against St. Frances Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bruins will host the Panthers at 4:15 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Thursday, Park School got the win against St. John's Catholic Prep by a conclusive 11-1. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Isaac Shapiro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Owen Cyr was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, St. Frances Academy made easy work of Sts. Peter & Paul on Thursday and carried off a 17-7 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Sabres recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Jeremiah Hill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hill was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, St. Frances Academy got a massive performance out of Davion Johnson-Lovelist, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those RBI were Johnson-Lovelist's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mason Hodges, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.
St. Frances Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Park School's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for St. Frances Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Park School got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against St. Frances Academy by a conclusive 9-2 score. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
