Largo was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A. The Lions vanquished Fairmont Heights 36-6 earlier in the week.
Largo extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Hornets, 36-6. The win marks fourth in a row for the David Fant's team.
Forestville Military Academy's dynamic duo of Quinton Boston and Jourdan Ginyard proved tough for Friendly to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Boston threw for 118 yards and two touchdowns and Ginyard had 96 yards receiving. Boston helped Forestville Military Academy's passing attack out by catching one ball for eight yards.
Dajahn Lowery was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 130 yards on three carries as the Patriots lost to the Patriots. Ronald Bell also contributed to the rushing game with 97 yards on the ground.
Karon Dunbar made the biggest impact on defense this week as Forestville Military Academy lost to Friendly. The 5-foot-11 defensive end racked up 2.0 sacks.
Thomas Corbett provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Patriots bested the Knights. He completed seven passes for 162 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 49 yards. Corbett's favorite target this week was Brandon Robinson, who caught three passes for 77 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Devin Butler of Douglass is the league leader in passing yards this season with 657. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, Forestville Military Academy's Marcel Joly has rushed for 571 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ginyard. The Forestville Military Academy star has 17 catches for 344 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Knights take on the Eagles. At the moment, Forestville Military Academy is in sixth, while Douglass is in second.
There should be lots of points scored when the Knights and JC Pinkney's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Forestville Military Academy comes in having scored 171 this season, while the Eagles have scored 188. The Knights scored 18 points last week as they fell to Friendly.
Douglass took down Crossland 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. D'Ondre MacKey ran for 114 yards in the win.
