Norris' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Johnson, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Keetle, who scored 12 points.
Waverly has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 62-24 win over Hastings at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Waverly has managed all season.
Waverly's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Annie Harms, who scored 14 points. Parker Christiansen was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Norris pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Waverly, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Norris and Waverly were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in November, but Norris came up empty-handed after a 47-46 loss. Can Norris avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
