They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 47-0 win over Englewood. Kent Denver might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.
Kent Denver was led to victory by Wyatt Walker and Yianni Balafas. Walker gained 170 total yards and three touchdowns, while Balafas threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85% of his passes. Balafas was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Buchenau, who picked up 125 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Englewood to a paltry 247 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Kent Denver's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out six times before it was all said and done. The heavy lifting was done by Tripp Skewes and Buchenau who racked up six sacks between them.
Kent Denver's win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Englewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Kent Denver will stay at home for another week and welcome Eaton at 2:00 p.m. on November 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Eaton is ranked 66th, while Kent Denver is ranked 61st). Englewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
