After a string of five wins, Midland's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Fairview Panthers by a score of 57-54. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-46 last Saturday.

Midland's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Fairview, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Midland and Fairview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Midland (ranked 26th) will meet Hathaway (ranked 87th) at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Meanwhile, Fairview will challenge LaGrange at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 109 places (6 vs. 115).
