The Calvary Christian Warriors waltzed into their contest Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Boca Ciega with a 69-64 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Ace Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madden Geiger, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds.
Boca Ciega lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jordan Naylor, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Syrjieo Flowers, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Calvary Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Boca Ciega, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
