Even though the Northview Knights scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, the Bloomfield Cardinals still came out on top. Bloomfield narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Northview 60-57. For Bloomfield, this counts as revenge for the 77-67 defeat Northview walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2021.
Northview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Trayven Buis, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Goff, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Bloomfield's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Northview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Bloomfield won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Vigo at 1:00 p.m. on December 28, 2023. Northview and Robinson will face off at 12:00 p.m. on January 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Robinson is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
