The Oneida Express pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Central Valley Academy by a score of 60-57. Oneida has not had much luck with the Thunder recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
It was another big night for Deacon Judd, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds for Central Valley Academy. Judd is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 20 every time he's taken the court this season. Tom Jacquays was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Oneida's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Central Valley Academy, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oneida's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Proctor presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Express in New York (the Raiders are ranked 63rd, while the Express are ranked 450th). As for Central Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Black Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rome Free Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,343 points over their last 16 contests.
