Briggs's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Bishop Hartley Hawks with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bruins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: Bishop Hartley scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 25-22.

Alex Xayavong paced Briggs' offense, picking up 12 kills. Xayavong got some help from Daniel Cung and his 16 assists. Teshawn Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Briggs is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Bishop Hartley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Looking ahead, Briggs will host Northland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Hartley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
