The Stem Preparatory Academy The Chargers suffered their biggest loss since November 13, 2023 on Thursday. They were beaten by LEAD Academy 71-44. Stem Preparatory Academy has struggled against LEAD Academy recently, as their game on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Leading LEAD Academy to victory were Anthony Petway and Brandon Fields. Petway scored eight points along with 14 assists and five steals, while Fields scored 19 points along with two steals. Petway is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kam'ron Howse, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Stem Preparatory Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for LEAD Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Pearl-Cohn the next time they take the court. Stem Preparatory Academy will host Pearl-Cohn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while LEAD Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
