Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cornerstone Academy). They walked away with a 66-55 victory over the Riverside Christian Wranglers on Friday. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 58-33 win the Wranglers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Joa Walters continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Micah Whing, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

The victory got Cornerstone Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Riverside Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Cornerstone Academy will host Ocala Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season. As for Riverside Christian, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Countryside Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
