It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Ringgold Tigers can now relate to. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 35-14 walloping at the hands of Wesleyan on Friday. Ringgold's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Ben Brown, who threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Brown has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Jamie Tremble did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 144 receiving yards.
Ringgold's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Wesleyan, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Ringgold does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wesleyan will head out on the road to face off against Stephens County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stephens County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wesleyan in Georgia (Stephens County is ranked 40th, while Wesleyan is ranked 158th).
