The Easton Area Rovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 75-51 walloping at the hands of Muhlenberg. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Easton Area in their matchups with Muhlenberg: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Easton Area still got an impressive performance from Ryan Cornish, who scored 17 points. The contest was Cornish's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Henry, who scored eight points.
Easton Area's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Muhlenberg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Easton Area and Allentown Central Catholic will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Muhlenberg, they will head out on the road to face off against Lampeter-Strasburg at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
