The Winston Red Birds had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Southwest 46-22. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for Winston this season.
Emalee Granville and Regan Donoho certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Granville scored four points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Donoho scored four points.
Winston's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Southwest, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Winston will square off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
