TAPPS Division II District 4 recap September 4, 2013
Pope John XXIII scaled the state rankings by moving to 512 from 698 this week, the biggest jump in TAPPS Division II District 4. The Lions were able to make move up by beating Hitchcock 30-8.
Fort Bend Christian Academy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to third in the league. The Eagles defeated Acadiana HomeSchool 62-12 earlier in the week.
Lutheran South's dynamic duo of Trent Franson and Jordan Barton proved tough for Bay Area Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Franson threw for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns and Barton had 82 yards receiving. Kyle Hutchins helped Lutheran South's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 17 yards.
The Pioneers' dynamic duo of Franson and Barton proved to be unstoppable against the Broncos, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Greg Moore was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 143 yards on 16 carries as Pope John XXIII defeated Bay Area Christian. Teammate Greyson Secades added to the ground attack by rushing for 61 yards.
Franson put up the best numbers in passing as Stephen Robbins' team bested Darwin Pennye's team.
Barton was the best receiver in TAPPS Division II District 4 this week as the Pioneers topped the Broncos.

Second Baptist fell to East Bernard 63-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
