Hesperia is 0-9 against Oak Hills since October of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Scorpions will host the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Friday, Hesperia didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Sultana, but they still walked away with a 33-28 victory. Given the Scorpions' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Sultans are ranked 674th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Oak Hills waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They really took it to the Burros for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-7 win. Oak Hills' win came from a few key players Hesperia will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jacob Webster, who threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Oak Hills' leading receiver Jewellz Parm was Webster's top target yet again, picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. Hesperia has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 243 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Oak Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 208.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
