Aledo had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 64-59 W against the Abilene Eagles. The Bearcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Aledo's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Abilene, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Aledo and Argyle will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Abilene, they will challenge Midland Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
