After a string of four wins, the Morgan Trojans's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The game between Morgan and Ogden wasn't particularly close, with Morgan falling 57-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Morgan has scored all season.
Stockton Marriott was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds for Ogden. Marriott is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Jones, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Morgan's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9. As for Ogden, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.
Morgan on the road again on Monday and play against Tooele at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Hopefully Tooele focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Thursday. As for Ogden, they will be playing at home against South Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in South Summit's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matchups.
