New Roads needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Koa Davidson. The Jaguars took down the EF Academy Hawks 55-41 on Thursday with plenty of help from Davidson, who posted 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.
The victory got New Roads back to even at 3-3. As for EF Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.
New Roads didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-23 defeat against California Academy of Math & Science on the 12th. As for EF Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Flintridge Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026.
