The Shorecrest Scots will face off against the Meadowdale Mavericks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games Shorecrest has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Shorecrest took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Mountlake Terrace by a score of 4-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

David Telling was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Shorecrest is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 5-6 otherwise. Telling was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elyas Rojas, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Meadowdale nor Kamiak made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Mavericks came out on top against the Knights by a score of 5-1. Winning may never get old, but the Mavericks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Meadowdale secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Caleb Braithwaite, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. That's the most hits Braithwaite has posted since back in March. Aaron Hurlbut also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Shorecrest has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for Meadowdale, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Shorecrest has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Meadowdale struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Shorecrest came out on top in a nail-biter against Meadowdale in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Scots repeat their success, or do the Mavericks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
