Huguenot has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Huguenot Falcons and the Colonial Heights Colonials will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Huguenot scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took down Powhatan 81-67.
Huguenot can attribute much of their success to Trevion Brown, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, and Kaemon Smith, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Brown set a new season high mark in blocks with three. Samuel Cohen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Even though Colonial Heights has not done well against Prince George recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. Everything went Colonial Heights' way against Prince George as Colonial Heights made off with a 73-51 win. Considering Colonial Heights has won four games by more than 21 points this season, last Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The victory got Huguenot back to even at 4-4. As for Colonial Heights, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
