The West Washington Senators had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Crawford County by a score of 48-38 on Thursday. For West Washington, this counts as revenge for the 50-45 loss Crawford County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
West Washington found their leader in underclassman Jayla Batt, who scored 16 points. The game was Batt's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Lilly Thompson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
West Washington's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Crawford County, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Washington will take on Paoli at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crawford County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orleans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
