The Springs Valley Blackhawks lost against the Paoli Rams back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Springs Valley took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paoli. While losing is never fun, Springs Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Paoli is ranked 127th).
When it comes to explaining why Springs Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Deion Edwards. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 40.4% of Springs Valley's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jaheim Hamilton, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Springs Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Paoli, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Springs Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-39 victory vs. White River Valley on the 9th. Paoli has also already played their next match, a 49-36 defeat against Orleans on the 9th.
