On Friday, the Hope Blue Wave faced the Davies Career & Tech Patriots in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hope fell to Davies Career & Tech 38-32. Hope has not had much luck with Davies Career & Tech recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Hope's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jorday Johnson, who scored 15 points. Sa-moni McKay was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Hope's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Davies Career & Tech, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Hope will head out on the road to face off against Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davies Career & Tech, they will be playing at home against Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Central comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
