It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the El Reno Indians can now relate to. They were beaten by Carl Albert 49-21 on Friday. El Reno has not had much luck with Carl Albert recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Carl Albert's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Robinson, who rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Robinson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards. Trystan Haynes was in the mix as well, providing Carl Albert with three touchdowns.
El Reno's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Carl Albert, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
El Reno does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carl Albert will square off against Collinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Collinsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Carl Albert is ranked fourth).
