The Warren Warriors lost to the Fairfield Union Falcons back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Warren took down Fairfield Union 50-33. Given Warren's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Fairfield Union is ranked 338th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aubrey Pepper went supernova for Warren, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Gates, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Warren's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Fairfield Union, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warren will take on New Lexington at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully New Lexington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Saturday. As for Fairfield Union, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wellston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
