Softball Recap: Allen Finds Home Field Redemption Against Princeton

There's no place like home for Allen, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Princeton Panthers on Friday as the Allen Eagles made off with a 13-3 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Morgan Wright made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Wright was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Allen got a massive performance out of Elliana Kovacs, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was Kovacs' first of the season. Kate Bettge was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Allen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Princeton only posted an OBP of .190.

Allen's record is now 7-10-1. As for Princeton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10-1.

Coincidentally, Allen and Princeton will both be playing Plano West the next time they take the field. Allen will head out to face Plano West at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Princeton will host them at 7:15 p.m. on March 14th.
