The Uxbridge Spartans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Northbridge and snuck past 49-47. This was payback for Uxbridge, who suffered a 41-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Ethan Mccusker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Uxbridge's points. Another player making a difference was Kellen Lachapelle, who scored eight points.
Uxbridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Northbridge, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Uxbridge will challenge the Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northbridge, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tantasqua Regional is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
