Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Delphi Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Almager, who scored 26 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Almager is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Jones, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Clinton Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luke Davison. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davison has scored all season. Lane Davis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Delphi Community's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Clinton Central, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Delphi Community will be playing in front of their home fans against Western Boone at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Western Boone is coming into the game with eight straight victories on the road, so Delphi Community is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
