Noah Miller made a difference for the Hawks. The junior kicked one field goal.
Hernandez stood out for RM in the win. The junior caught one touchdown. He has now scored two touchdowns on the season.
The Mesa school went into the matchup giving up only 16.1 points per game. The three points that Highland ended with were well below its average of 24.4 coming into the game.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Mountain Lions came away with a 21-6 victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Highland, which notched a 24-21 victory over Mesa in its previous outing. With the win Red Mountain extended its winning streak to three games.
