2A South Puget Sound recap September 17, 2013
Franklin Pierce moved up to 154 from 189 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A South Puget Sound. The Cardinals climbed the ranks as a result of besting Sammamish 43-14.
White River took down Highline 55-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Keenan Fagan ran for 55 yards in the win.
Orting's dynamic duo of Eddie Prong and Justin Kennett proved tough for Evergreen to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Prong threw for 132 yards and 3 touchdowns and Kennett had 66 yards receiving. Daniel Bessey helped Orting's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 54 yards.

Prong put up the best numbers through the air as Orting defeated Evergreen.
Abraham Afoa was a key player and the best on defense this week as Fife beat Garfield. The 6-foot-0 senior.
Austin Woods was the best running back in the league this week. In 3 carries, he ran for 92 yards as the Trojans bested the Wolverines. Keanu Songcuan also contributed to the rushing game with 56 yards on the ground.
Kennett was the best wideout in the league this week as Orting defeated Evergreen.
The Cardinals' Prong and Bessey have formed a dream team this season, leading 2A South Puget Sound in both passing and receiving yards. Prong has thrown for 210 yards this season, while Bessey has 7 catches for 115 yards. Sumner's DeJon Lynch leads the league in rushing yards with 179.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Orting takes on Franklin Pierce. At the moment, the Cardinals are in second, while the Cardinals are in third.
Clover Park led the league in scoring this week by notching 62 points on Foster.
