Softball Recap: East Rockingham Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

East Rockingham lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Harrisonburg, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Blue Streaks on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

East Rockingham pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Harrisonburg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Rockingham will venture away from home to face off against William Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Harrisonburg, they will take on Turner Ashby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Blue Streaks surely won't give up without a fight.
