The Milton-Union Bulldogs lost against the Oakwood Lumberjacks back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Milton-Union's rough 68-45 defeat to Oakwood might stick with them for a while. Milton-Union has not had much luck with Oakwood recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Milton-Union lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braden Schaurer. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points. The match was Schaurer's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Grube, who scored six points.
Milton-Union's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Oakwood, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Milton-Union will take on Northridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Milton-Union in Ohio (Northridge is ranked 292nd, while Milton-Union is ranked 699th). As for Oakwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Brookville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Brookville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday.
