After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilmington Christian Academy, Atlantic Collegiate Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Kingstree Blazers get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The Armada might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Andrew Larsen tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tate Nelson, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Gallup, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kingstree, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blazers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
