Baseball Recap: Osage City Has No Trouble Against Wabaunsee

While Osage City put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Wabaunsee. The Indians put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 17-0 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Tyson Mullins was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Mullins was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, JD Tyson was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Osage City is undefeated when Tyson posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise. Hawk Shopteese was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Osage City hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Osage City's record now sits at 8-6. As for Wabaunsee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Osage City has already played their next game (against Prairie View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wabaunsee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-5 victory against Jefferson County North on the 21st.
