The Dade Christian Warriors will head out to face off against the Brito Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Brito will be up against a hot Dade Christian team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Dade Christian put the hurt on Cooper City with a sharp 10-1 victory on Thursday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Leodan Rodriguez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dade Christian got a massive performance out of Yael Amador, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Amador is becoming a predictor of Dade Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Mendoza Jr, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brito). They were the clear victor by an 18-7 margin over Goleman on Wednesday. The Panthers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17, 2024.
The team relied heavily on Claudio De Los Santos, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Danny Estrada also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Brito always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Dade Christian pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Brito, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Dade Christian hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Brito struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
