Coral Park's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ivana Montoya, who scored six points along with five rebounds and five steals, and Gianella Carmenate who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds. Carmenate continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Maya Vivas-Acevedo was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
American is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Coral Park, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
American will be playing in front of their home fans against North Miami Beach at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Coral Park, they will head out on the road to square off against Sunset at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
