The Stockdale Brahmas were the 50-40 winner over the Falls City Beavers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Stockdale fell just short of Falls City by a score of 31-29. Stockdale's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it four in a row.
Falls City found their leader in underclassman Kain Jurgajtis, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Jurgajtis posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Black, who scored six points along with two steals.
Stockdale's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Falls City, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stockdale will face off against Sabinal at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Falls City, they will head out on the road to square off against Charlotte at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Falls City is facing Charlotte at the right time seeing as Charlotte is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
