Volleyball Recap: Deseret Peak Comes Up Short

The Deseret Peak Golden Eagles lost 3-0 to the Grantsville Cowboys on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-11.

Despite the loss, Deseret Peak saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amelia Cannon had six digs and two aces. Cannon is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

Deseret Peak now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grantsville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deseret Peak will host Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grantsville, they will take on Tooele at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
